What’s happening this year?
This year, the people behind Marketing Week, Econsultancy, Design Week and Creative Review have created an event that reflects marketer’s biggest opportunities, threats and challenges. It’s a new experience full of unexpected ideas and we’re excited to be part of it!
One of the highlights this year at Marketing Week Live is the Marketing Academy Bootcamp, led by top marketers. A conference session we’re particularly looking forward to is ‘The importance of utilising technology in marketing’ by Lysa Hardy, CMO at NBTY Europe, based on a Holland & Barrett case study.
What’s dotmailer talking about?
On day 1, Skip Fidura, dotmailer’s Client Services Director and member of the DMA Council will be taking to the stage in the Brand Engagement theatre at 2.30pm to help you get over the multichannel hype and use your email as a base to get your multichannel started. Recent DMA research shows that email is consumers’ preferred channel for maintaining existing brand relationships across all age groups so he’ll be discussing each of the following challenges within the context of building a multichannel strategy with email at its heart:
- Using your existing touch points to enrich your data
- Leveraging automation and dynamic content to take much of the heavy lifting out of segmentation
- Understanding when silos are good and when they are bad
- The one stop shop vs. the best in breed technology strategies
Later that day, at 3.30pm, Skip will join Bookatable, ODEON and Prostate Cancer UK on a panel debate in The Big Debate auditorium to discuss ‘Marketing on a Shoestring’. Sessions are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis so book your place to avoid disappointment.
And lastly, on day 2, Chris Boddice, Marketing Director at dotmailer, stars in the Marketing Tech theatre at 11.30am, where he will take you through a simple five step plan to build your multichannel strategy.
One of our goals is that you will go away from this session with the confidence that multichannel is not new and that you already have a multichannel program even if you do not have a multichannel strategy. Chris will build on this by focusing on the practicalities of getting your multichannel strategy off the ground and will work through this plan to build your strategy:
