Today it gives me great pleasure to welcome members of the public to become our first ever dotSurvey users and start getting their hands dirty with the product to find out what it can do. Early yesterday, we started sending invites out to the lucky Test Pilots who had registered interest in being head of the queue to try out the latest tools coming out of our workshop.
dotSurvey builds upon our goal of creating the world’s best online tools for digital marketers, and enables anyone, anywhere to create surveys quickly, efficiently – and on brand. Whether it’s our exclusive EasyEditor (already simplifying the way email templates are designed in dotMailer), our unique CopyKat feature that combines your survey a with page on your website, the management-friendly reports or the beautifully simple interface, everything in dotSurvey has been designed to make it the ultimate way to gather feedback.
But alas, it’s still early days and we’re still putting the finishing touches here and there to the product so cannot let everyone in just yet. As such, we’re tremendously grateful to our alpha users – the early adopters amongst you who signed up to become Test Pilots.
It will be their thoughts and feedback that shape and define the product from now on, prior to the full launch (which we’ll provide more details on very soon.) If this sounds like fun, and you’re not yet a dotDigital Test Pilot, then I encourage you to fill in the form to get notified early on for other alpha launches and lab projects.
Opening the flood gates
If you can’t wait to get your hands on dotSurvey, then let me outline our roll-out plan. We plan to be in beta before the end of the year. This will be open to everyone, so you’ll be able to sign-up at www.dotsurvey.com (in fact, you can register here now, and we’ll email you as soon as you can log in).
Throughout alpha and beta, we’re keeping dotSurvey entirely free (with no credit card required to sign-in) and during 2012, once the product is mature and thoroughly bedded in, we’ll come out of beta.
What’s more, you’ll still be able to use a freemium version of the service for absolutely nothing (although, in order to feed our developers and designers, if you want to create long surveys with lots of responses or certain advanced features, you’ll see great value for upgrading to the full, paid version. Pricing will be on its way soon.)
In the mean time, we’ll be working tirelessly on dotSurvey to make it the best survey tool out there, and it really will be our users that shape its future. So register your interest, visit our forums – and get involved.
Finally, if you would like to resell or white label dotSurvey, then we’d like to hear from you too – if there’s big enough demand then we’ll look at offering this as a solution during 2012.
