We’re pleased to tell you that our product integrations team has a shiny new (client-led) development to shout about.
Our Microsoft Dynamics CRM connector‘s capabilities have been extended to include some rather clever subscriber management functionality.
You can now manage email subscriptions by assigning email marketing preferences to individual contacts within Dynamics. These preferences can be updated using the Microsoft Dynamics API.
How does it work?
Within Dynamics we have created an extension called ‘Email Subscription Groups’:
Each top level group can then contain more granular subscription options for example, for in the sports group shown below we have 2 associated subscription options, Cricket & Rugby:
This subscription information can then be added at lead and contact level.
As the dotMailer uses the native marketing list functionality to define recipients of email campaigns, email subscriptions can be assigned to individual marketing lists and set as a filter prior to sending:
What does this mean for my email subscribers?
This now means it is possible to develop custom subscriber preference centres that integrate seamlessly with both Dynamics and dotMailer.
This will give you subscribers greater control of the type of communications they receive from you increasing engagement rates and decreasing the risk of list fatigue. So everyone’s a winner.
