Sorry, What Date And Time Was That? Avoid Confusion With The New Date & Time Field For Your Surveys

Dates and times can be a pain to work with; you ask people their date of birth in a survey and they’ll respond in all sorts of formats; when you export them and try to do anything with the data it goes wrong: some dates are just spelt wrong, others you’re not sure which way round the month is supposed to go, and then there are the dates that just don’t exist (30 February, anyone?).

Due to popular demand, dotSurvey just released a new question type that solves these problems by prompting your respondents to enter a date in an easy to use format that goes straight into your database without any hitches.

Using dates of birth in a preference centre

A popular use for this functionality is in an email preference centre; here’s an example of how to use dotSurvey to gather dates of birth in your preference centre.

Use dotSurvey’s drag and drop interface to pull a date & time question into your preference centre.

Choose whether you want date and time, or just a date.
