With the steep rise of the smartphone and changing purchase behaviour resulting from owning a mobile device, research into user behaviour has shown that if they can’t find you whilst they’re searching on their mobile devices then they will purchase with one of your competitors. Brad pushed home the message that those who get ahead at this stage within the mobile space can reap the dividends and establish their position with users searching for products and services through their mobile devices.

E & M Commerce Consultant with dotDigital, Ben Staveley, showed guests the different options available to marketers when it comes to selling through mobile devices. From optimising websites for mobiles, to dedicated mobile sites, apps and tablets, Ben succinctly covered the points to consider when building your successful m-commerce strategy along with best practice and examples.

Enter the mobile channel

For those who attended, it was obvious just how important it is to get in on the mobile commerce act. For them, no longer will it be one of those things that they know they need to do yet other activities get prioritised first. Actioning a mobile strategy will be at the top of the to do list.

Organisations worldwide, including our own clients, are seeing 10%+ traffic and purchases coming from mobiles. These visitors are searching for you now. It’s clear that a strategy is necessary now, not later. There’s cost effective small changes which can make a massive difference.
