The Internet Retailing Expo is a two-day event blending marketing with technology, logistics, customer-centric design, mobile and the in-store experience. Those attending have the opportunity to hear from industry thought leaders, including dotmailer’s own Client Services Director Skip Fidura, who’s also Chair of the Email Council on the DMA board.
Some of the conferences taking place include ‘The Connected Store of the Future’, highlighting new and innovative technologies enabling retailers to deliver a seamless online to store shopping experience.
On day two, the ‘Digital Sales & Marketing’ conference is focused on helping brands to use digital to foster a customer-centric culture and deliver compelling customer experiences. Speaking at 13:15 will be Skip, with his talk ‘Go to where the data is – social media and email’.
Social media is one of the richest sources of data for brands looking to communicate with customers on a truly personal level. Skip will define the difficulties in tying together a social user and an email subscriber as being one and the same individual, discuss using social data to build segments, show how to provide a consistent user journey and talk about best practice, rules and consent.
